When asked to tell us what her positive attributes are...

by Kendall

She can't seem to wrap her brain around the question. We will legitametly sit together for 10 minutes with no answers. She will then finally write down attributes, but they're all physical. "I have brown hair. I wear glasses. I have a pink shirt." But no matter how hard we try, she can't list any positive personality/character based attributes such as, "I'm a good friend. I have a good voice. I can draw well."

She wraps her mind around the negatives, and shits out the positives. How do I help her build her self esteem? What are some exercises that I can do for a 12 year old and her non-existent self esteem?
