Using goal setting templates can be an easy, almost a “fill-in-the-blanks” exercise to help organize and articulate your life’s goals. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity though; just the act of writing down your goals has a way of turning them into reality. This can have a tremendous impact on your life.
Of course, there are no guarantees of success by simply filling out these templates. We can almost guarantee though, that if you don’t have well-defined, well-thought out written goals, nothing will change. The choice is yours. Are you ready to get started?
Describe your ideal life 1-5-10 years from now. Where will you be? What will you be doing?
What resources will you need?
What resources do you currently possess?
What skills, talents and knowledge will you need?
What skills, talents and knowledge do you currently possess?
Who can help you meet your goal? Friends? Family? Coworkers? Teachers?
What obstacles could get in your way?
What is one thing you can do right away?
What is stopping you from starting right away?
Write down the date you’ll take your first action towards your 1 year, 5 year and 10 year goal.
Keep these templates tucked away in a safe place and review them on a regular basis. Remember, these aren’t cast in stone; priorities and goals can change.
You can have the life you want, next year, five years from now, ten years from now if you get started today!
